VIRIDE is a German startup which produces microalgae in deserts. We build and operate algae farms that produce natural beta-carotene and omega-3 in a very sustainable way. Our cultivation uses seawater (no fresh water), sunlight, and warm temperatures. Our products are mainly used in food and feed applications where clients appreciate the natural source of the ingredients, their high quality standards and and their positive climate footprint. We are operating a pilot site since 2021 and are currently raising series A to build a bigger industrial scale algae production.
